ISO 9001 for portuguese dealers


The ARCO Chimica, after having gained success with the consultancy projects, which allowed beyond 500 service industries and dealers to certifi cate according to the different Rules ISO 9001,ISO 14001,SA 8000 and OHSAS 18001, both in Italy and abroad, gives the opportunity also to Portuguese dealers to begin this project: Sepitra, Prodimaq and Alinutre, in business relationship with the company since several years.
In fact this new consultancy project, carried out by Nicola Miranda, Chief of New Business Areas, has implemented the documentation system according to rule ISO 9001:2008 in these three dealership organizations. In this way these three companies had the opportunity to improve their organization, by checking the different supply stages, qualifying and supervising the suppliers, and introducing the checked management of the customers orders, from the goahead of the Managers to the product delivery. Furthermore, during the ISO 9001 consultancy and implementation project , has been done a deep training program addressed to the human resources of these three companies, which allowed to manage the application Procedures tests by using documentation and controls.
Another important aspect of this project is the introduction at every supply of the opportunity for the customer to fi ll a report for improvement stages, where they can mention the basic elements of the supplies already made, such as delivery time, packing integrity, etc.
This type of results can discredit some clichés: according to these, the Foreign Dealers would be interest only in economic saving, instead of the Portuguese Dealers adopting this kind of project on their national market, that on the contrary they have the aim to improve the structures quality, giving a positive answer to their customer needs.
